If you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the web, and hopefully you’re a kindred spirit who considers her/himself to be as much of a lover of food, travel, and culture, as I do myself.
I’ve thought about starting a food blog for ages and never quite found the right voice. Ironically, it’s the voice that’s been echoing in my head all of my life. Since I can remember, I’ve been traveling and stuffing my face; it’s probably one of the things I do best. If you hate Instagram feeds full of food, mine is not for you. While my eyes have seen a lot, my tastebuds have been the most adventurous of travelers. From guinea pig (cuy) in Peru to escargot in France, there’s not much I won’t try, to my palate’s delight. I’ve stored a lot of food memories in my head, and it’s about time I shared them. The Afare is my culinary journey, here I’ll share my favorite recipes, can’t miss spots to try when traveling, the growing list of food-gasm worthy bites I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy and more.
That’s all she wrote, for now…
